Donna Crowder
Chief Administrative Officer
As the current Vice President of Administration, Donna Crowder has served at the YWCA Greater Los Angeles for over twenty-eight years. She began as the Human Resources Director and progressed up the ladder to the current position of VP. Prior to working for the YWCA, Donna worked in the public sector as the Human Resources Director for the US. Bankruptcy Court. Her past employers have been financial institutions, where she could contribute to the growth and development of small, inexperienced departments, turning them into midsize efficient units.
Donna received her BS in English and taught at the junior and high school levels before entering the field of Human Resources. She has expanded her knowledge by taking HR courses at UCLA and Loyola. She has enjoyed being in the Human Resources/Personnel field for many years. She is an active member of PIHRA, Professionals in Human Resources Association.
Her current position spans the areas of Administration, Human Resources, Facilities, and Special Projects.
It is her goal to ensure the YWCA works at the optimum level of efficiency through the departments under her management.
External energies are spent on the Hospitality and Homeless programs through her church, of which she has been a member for over twenty years.
Donna is an avid promoter of the Mission of the YWCA GLA.
