On November 15, 2016, YWCA Greater Los Angeles announced a new partnership with the Los Angeles County Department of Children & Family Services (DCFS) to open the Workforce Readiness Residential AB12 Program.
This program is an answer to a dire lack of housing and supportive services for aged-out foster youth or “Non-Minor Dependents” (ages 18-21). YWCA Greater Los Angeles now provides Residential Living and Services for Non-minor dependents at our Hollywood Studio Club.
The Workforce Readiness Residential AB12 Program also prepares aged-out foster youth in: Vocational Training, Career Training, Financial Literacy, Life Skills, and other Supportive Services.
