“This work is important to me because I do not want any survivor of sexual assault to feel alone, isolated, or dismissed. I believe in survivors and want to stand with them. It is an honor and responsibility to be one of the first friendly faces they may see after such a traumatic event. I want survivors to feel supported and safe as they begin their healing process journey. I have never done something so difficult yet so fulfilling before.”
“I became an advocate after discovering that this type of program and services existed. Going through my own adversities, I didn’t want others to feel like they were alone. Believing them and showing them kindness is the only thing I can sometimes do. Because not everyone receives humanity.”
