Director Sexual Assault Crisis Services
Sheetal Chib is the Director of Sexual Assault Crisis Services at the YWCA Greater Los Angeles and identifies as an educator, advocate and clinician.
Her area of expertise has been in providing crisis intervention, support and advocacy, and individual and group therapy to survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, stalking, domestic human trafficking and other forms of interpersonal violence within the college and community settings. She has a passion for prevention and education as well and has led numerous presentations on understanding the dynamics of gender-based violence and supporting survivors, campus sexual violence, rape culture and the influence of media and society, body image and developing self-worth, dating in the modern world, and cultivating healthy relationships.
In addition, Ms. Chib has prior experience providing behavioral and therapeutic support to adults with disabilities in the community and college settings. Sheetal Chib received a Masters of Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Irvine. Sheetal Chib is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and a certified sexual assault counselor in the State of California.
