Literacy Program Specialist
Santa Clara County
Amanda J. Lee is the new Literacy Program Specialist for the Santa Clara County Library District (SCCLD) Reading Program. She is based in Milpitas and serving north county libraries including Saratoga, Campbell, Cupertino, Los Altos and Los Altos Hills.
In her previous work, Amanda was the Associate Management Analyst for the Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters where she procured over 30 successful advertisement contracts for the 2016 Presidential Primary Election with numerous local broadcasting companies as well as Fortune 500 corporations. Prior, Amanda was also the Director of Learning Tree Academy, a center providing reading and writing Common Core-based educational services to elementary age- adult students in the surrounding Orange County communities within Southern California. She also worked as the Strategic Planning Coordinator of a nonprofit media organization called Far East Broadcasting Company –Korea in Los Angeles. Furthermore, Amanda was employed as a Teaching Assistant for the Director of Education and AWS program at Claremont Graduate University.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Biola University as well as a Master’s degree from Claremont Graduate University. Additionally, she serves as an elected Board Member at the YWCA of Greater Los Angeles, a nonprofit dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.
Amanda was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. She enjoys thrift shopping, reading, cooking, and exercising. She currently lives with her husband Mike in San Jose, CA.
